Lily the Pink Learning uses modern technology to share some ideas that reflect the values of domestic prudence that our parents and grandparents would have recognised. Technology is not the only thing that has changed since their day because it was not that long ago when the idea of a tornado or hurricane force winds being seen in the UK was unknown. Yet today some people have experienced these things without leaving these shores.
We need to be able to keep up with these changes, even changes in technology. Once you read a text book to help you complete a course but books soon go out of date. The advantage of doing an online course is that unlike a book the text can be updated within hours. These changes mean it is becoming increasingly useful to be a competent computer user. However not everyone can cope in a classroom situation so in addition to preparing online courses Lily the Pink Learning also offers an IT coaching service within County Durham.

Give yourself time to stop and think awhile about how you could be better prepared for the possibility of things going wrong in the future. Things may still go wrong but you will be able to cope better if they do and recover more quickly afterwards. We know that if we are not ready for something to go wrong then it will do so. Rather than giving the devil a foothold, why not get organised so that you will be able to cope if something goes wrong.
This course is designed to help you look at the things that you can do to make it more likely that you will come through a variety of household emergencies with as few problems as possible. There always going to be some kind of emergency happening somewhere to someone but if you have a plan in place, the consequences are likely to be less severe than they otherwise would have been.
Preparing courses can be quite a time consuming occupation. The first one was done while I was not working as many hours as I am now. Extra courses will be prepared as and when time and finances allows.
There are NO charges made for these courses unless you want a certificate of completion. This is because of the extra work involved assessing the course which means that the time taken cannot be used for other paid work that is needed to pay the every day bills. The fee for this is £50 which is based on the standard rate for assessing NVQ files.
There is a donation button on the course doorway in case you would like to contribute towards the running costs of this course. This button is linked to PayPal which accepts the majority of debit or credit cards available in the UK.
The other way of supporting this site is to click on the adverts that appear over the courses. If you find something that you would like to buy the commission from that sale will go towards the running costs of this site.
